MSA sports rates high school athletic performances based on how girls & boys teams finish their seasons. They rank Kittanning last, #35 in "AAA" only reciving points for a football playoff apperance and boys swiming WPIAL wins. The top five teams in "AAA" are Moon, Hopewell, South Park, Thomas Jefferson, and West Allegheny.
Freeport is ranked 5th in "AA" thanks in large part to Hockey title, & their Girls Soccer final appearance. Ford City is 16 out of 35 in "AA".
Although I don't totally agree with the formula used in the ranks, I will it's a pretty good indicator of combined performance, and shows how tuff a year it's been on Orr. Avenue.
