Well we've been yelling about it for a year now, but think about this If Kittanning would have played Ford City last year on the final week of season in Football, both teams would have been undefeated, it would have been the biggest game in "AA" and both teams especially Kittanning could have ended up with a higher seed. Who know what would have happen in the playoffs with that was the case.
This year's Ford City vs. Kittanning game is schedule to be in early September again. Stupid... I think it's time everyone fixes this problem. No one wanted to take blame for the creation of the schedule, but from what I've been able to figure out, no one from Kittanning or Ford City asked to play in the final game of season, and WPIAL just forgot about their rivalry and made the schedule.
However it would take a complete schedule rearrange to fix, and we no that isn't going to happen.
