MLB needs to stop the Pirates.

Now that its a positive the Pirates will hit 15 years of below .500 baseball, we're offering a viable suggestion to fixing the problem.

If a team has over 10 years of a sub .500 season record in a row. 100% profits of every additional season below .500 would be collected by the league. Therefore in the case of the Pirates they would have not made a profit in last four seasons, thus being forced to put more money into the franchise.

We know beside politicians & Matt Millen, Bud Selig is the most unqualified person for such a high position in the US. However surely even a confused man like him can see it's in the best interests of Baseball & the Players Association for a franchise have at least one competitive season a decade.
