Did Littlefield ever have the option to go after Puerto Rican right fielder Alex Rios of the Toronto Blue Jays. Who busted on the national scene recently with his performance in the All-Star Game Home Run Derby. Rios probably would love to come to Pittsburgh and follow in the footstep of the greatest right fielder ever #21 Clemente. You have got to be kidding me!!!! Half-way thru writing this post how the Pirates got to trade for Rios, at any cost. I come across this.“The Jays tried to trade Rios for Paul Maholm a year ago.
