Heres the Second Installment of my Contributions.The NHL Season is rearing to go, and there are still quite a few question marks around the League. Which team will Peter Forsberg play 41 games for, Will Scott Niedermayer and Teemu Selanne ever make up their minds on Retirement?
But as for your Pittsburgh Penguins, its business as usual. The Penguins rookies just won the Rookie Tournament it Kitchner Ontario. It is a good sign for our young guys, though Angelo Esposito, maybe the most intriguing rookie, did not participate due to a sore groin. However, they all are slated to make an appearance at Training Camp, which starts this Thursday (Sept 13th) at the ICEOPLEX at Southpointe.
There are still quite a few questions ragarding this talented bunch. Will Esposito challenge for a roster spot, is Kristopher Letang finally NHL ready, will there a Jordan Staal type performer, where do Mark Recchi and Gary Roberts fit in, will the young guys (Ryan Stone, Jonathan Filewich) perform well enough to take a roster spot from a veteran.
It looks to be a very interesting training camp, and theres only one thing for sure... and that is, people cant wait for the start of the 2007-08 NHL Hockey Season!
