Pitt lost to Navy last night and are now 2-4 on the season. Fox Sports had them ranked 70 of 119 D1 teams and Navy was #76. Look for the Panther's ranking to go down after a home defeat.
However this Pitt team should be way better than this. Case in point is Pitt's last 4 recruiting classes.

During the last 4 years the Panthers have bought in 54 players rated 3 stars or higher. Just based recruiting classes alone they should be fighting to be in top 25, not struggling be ranked in top 100. Also during the Wannstedt era, Pitt has the luxury or using the South Side complex, one of the finest facilities for practicing in the country. Pitt has commonly stated it's facilities are an asset to building a winning team. We'll argee with Lou Holtz their should an on campus stadium, but that's a different topic for a different post.
Bottom Line: Pitt has brought in good high school talent, has great facilities to prepare at, and right now they don't have a single excuse for this record, which will probably get a lot worse when you look at the remaining schedule.
