As the weather gets cooler the games become more important. Two more weeks to go before the playoffs, then it doesn’t matter what rank you had. It seems as if a top four of teams has developed in each classification. We haven’t seen much movement in rankings this week. This weekend coming up a lot of teams will punch their ticket to the WPIAL playoffs. Will your high school be one of them? In AAAA North Allegheny won the big showdown against Shaler. Central, NA, Gateway, and McKeesport seem a level above everyone else in AAAA. In AAA the top seven remained the same this week, however that won’t be the case after Friday. Its big game Friday as #1 TJ takes on #3 CharValley, #2 Montour faces #5 Blackhawk. In AA GCC, and South Fayette were knocked off. Western Beaver beat Monaca in the game of the week in A. Western Beaver now has a huge game against Rochester.
